VisArts is for Artists

Art is essential to individual, public, and civic life—offering a powerful opportunity for transformation.

VisArts is committed to showcasing diverse art by diverse artists for diverse audiences, and we support artists by providing space and time for research, experimentation, production, exhibition, public programming, teaching opportunities, and community engagement.

To equip artists and emerging curators with the tools they need to thrive, we:

  • Collaborate with artists to bring their visions to life.
  • Pay artists for their work.
  • Provide time, space, and structured support.
  • Share networks, build community, connect artists with mentors, and open doors to new platforms for professional growth.
  • Offer teaching opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of generosity and mutual respect.

Our Values:

Building a Community

Our community includes artists, curators, academics, arts administrators, educators, researchers, and other cultural practitioners. By sharing networks, we create connections, spark conversations, and foster opportunities for personal and professional growth. We work with artists at all stages of their careers.

Our sense of community is expansive and inclusive. From the local to the global, across histories, geographies, traditions, and cultures, we nurture and cherish the role of art as a connector.
