VisArts’ Galleries department’s mission is to actively engage people in the region as a dynamic arts destination by presenting vibrant exhibitions and programs that challenge, inspire, and expand explorations in visual arts experiences for guests of all ages.
Opportunities for emerging and established artists include solo exhibitions, our Emerging Curator Program, Frame + Frequency, NextGen, and occasionally our In(Site) projects.
Our exhibitions showcase contemporary art in a variety of artistic media and subject matter by emerging to mid-career artists.
Our related programming, including opening celebrations, AfterHours, artist talks, workshops, guided tours, performances, and more, serves as a catalyst for conversation, education, and creative interactions.
Our Kaplan, Gibbs Street, Common Ground, Concourse, and 355 POD Space galleries provide modern exhibition spaces for works of art that reflect local, regional, national and international interests.
Our solo and group shows explore the breadth of outstanding contemporary art via experimentation, installation, and performance.
