Gibbs Street is currently closed to vehicle traffic. If you’re dropping someone off or parking, please see the Car section, below.
VisArts is at 155 Gibbs Street in Rockville, Maryland. Our Gibbs Street Gallery is on Floor 1. The Galleries and Events offices, additional galleries (Kaplan, Common Ground, and Concourse), artist studios, and event spaces (Artists’ Concourse, Buchanan Room) are on Floor 2. The administrative offices and classrooms are on Floor 3. The Rooftop is on Floor 6.
VisArts also has studios in The Square and a glass-enclosed exterior gallery alongside Rockville Pike. VisAbility Art Lab is in our Pop-Up at 36F Maryland Avenue, Studio 156 is at 156 Gibbs Street, Studio 100 is at 100E Gibbs Street, and the 355 POD Space Gallery is at 355 Hungerford Drive.

Take I-270 South toward Washington, DC. Take Exit 6/West Montgomery Avenue and bear left toward Rockville/Rockville Town Center. Continue on West Montgomery Avenue (MD 28E). Turn left on North Washington Street and follow the directions for dropping off or parking.
Take I-495N. Bear slightly left at I-270N spur toward Rockville/Frederick. Merge onto I-270N/Frederick. Take Exit 6A/West Montgomery Avenue (MD 28E). Bear right on West Montgomery Avenue (MD 28E). Turn left on South Washington Street and follow the directions for dropping off or parking.
Once you’ve parked in garage A, walk straight out of the lot, cross Maryland Avenue, walk through The Square (past the Rockville Library on the right), and turn right on Gibbs Street. VisArts is at the end of Gibbs Street on the right, in the Arts and Innovation Center. Studio 156 is on the left at the end of Gibbs Street, across from VisArts.
The Square has an additional garage (B) with free parking for the first two hours.
Please don’t park in the Rockville Metro Station garage (which you’ll pass to get to garage B) as it doesn’t provide two hours of free parking. The ticket for the Rockville Metro Station garage is yellow; the tickets for garages B and C are white.
