At the moment, we don’t have available leases for artist studios. We’re happy to provide recommendations to local studios that offer long-term leases. We do provide studios for our Bresler Residents and Studio Fellows.
Yes! We’re eager to connect our Bresler Residents and Studio Fellows to our neighborhood and the broader community. We host opening receptions, artist talks, and workshops throughout the year – check our Exhibition Programming page to see when upcoming events are scheduled. Otherwise, contact M Aragon, Galleries Exhibition Programming Coordinator, to set up a studio or class visit or to schedule open studio hours.
VisArts does everything within our means to ensure a successful show and related programs. We help with installation, distribute press releases, upload events to various platforms, post, story, and reel on social media, and more. If you’re exhibiting with us, we’d love to hear your ideas about how to promote your show and programs.
VisArts provides unmatched opportunities for artists to enhance their practice and advance their careers. Our artists have gone on to exhibit or curate at The Phillips Collection, National Portrait Gallery, The Kennedy Center, the National Gallery of Art, The Walters Art Museum, New York Theatre Workshop, Biennale Casablanca, IA&A Hillyer, Baltimore Museum of Art, Vox Populi, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Renwick Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum, and similarly renowned spaces.
They’ve also received residencies and fellowships at places like Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and Halcyon Arts Lab, awarded Wherewithal and other grants, and commissioned to create new works by Amazon HQ, the Amazon Prime series As We See It, and more.
