Looking for a unique way to celebrate a special occasion or provide employees with a creative team-building experience? Schedule a private art event at VisArts!
VisArts’ art parties and team-building activities spark creativity! We provide custom designs, high-quality materials, and professional, step-by-step guidance so that following along is fun for guests of any experience level.
Art parties for milestone events or everyday get-togethers allow guests to hang out, have fun, and connect with each other through a shared creative experience.
Team-building opportunities inspire innovative thinking, communication, and resourceful problem solving. They can help co-workers understand different perspectives, allow team members to showcase hidden talents, and bring colleagues together to create a shared vision. We offer a variety of individual or collaborative projects for a work event your office will be talking about for years to come.
Prices for each project are listed below. Parties are held in VisArts’ Floor 3 classrooms and Studio 156.
You pick an image, your guests receive a lightly sketched 16” x 20” canvas, and an instructor leads a step-by-step painting lesson.
The base price includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant plus all the art materials necessary for the project.

An ideal team-building experience! Collaborative painting requires participants to negotiate color and design elements and transition between individual canvases to create a cohesive product. As in the workplace, coworkers must consider others’ opinions and ideas to produce a finished work.
The base price includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant, all the art materials necessary for the project, and assembly and wiring of one mural.
A twist on collaborative painting! Participants start with a partially sketched canvas and move to another canvas every 15-20 minutes. Just as work projects require us to consider coworkers’ input, this activity focuses on the creative process rather than the final product.
This is a terrific activity for even the most reluctant of painters because each painting is the product of multiple participants.
There are few artistic endeavors as challenging – or as fun – as working on a pottery wheel! In this workshop, participants receive one and a half pounds of clay and tools to create a wheel-thrown piece. An instructor will demonstrate the process and provide guidance and support. Participants will pick a glaze to be applied by VisArts staff after bisque-firing.
The base price includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant plus all the art materials necessary for the project. Work will be ready for pick up 10 business days after the event.
Our handbuilding project allows participants to create a vessel or tray while learning basic ceramic skills, such as joining, slip and score, and cutting. A variety of stamps, sprigs, and other texture tools will be provided so that creations reflect individual design ideas. Colored clay slips will be provided so that participants can paint their work, which will be bisque-fired and glazed by VisArts staff.
Work will be ready for pick up 10 business days after the event.
This is one of our most popular group activities! Participants learn how to cut glass, consider how different glass pieces interact, and see how the process works while creating a 6” x 6” square or 8” x 4” rectangular fused glass plate.
The base price includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant plus all the art materials necessary for the project. Finished artwork may be picked up 10 business days after the event.
You won’t need to worry about your everlasting office plant when you go on vacation. No matter how long you neglect this beautiful piece of fused glass, the only maintenance it will require is a bit of dusting. Three-inch terra cotta pot and pea gravel will be provided.
Finished work is ready for pick up within 10 business days of the event.
The base price includes a two-hour party led by our experienced instructor and classroom assistant and all the art materials necessary for the project.
Participants will create lovely fused glass coasters to be used at home or at the office! The event includes materials for two coasters per person.
