What a success!

VisArts’ Empty Bowls event on Thursday, November 21st was a great success with more than 150 attendees coming in on a cold weeknight evening to select a bowl hand crafted by VisArts’ ceramics instructors and students.  Guest “servers” included Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton, Rockville City Council members Beryl Feinberg and Monique Ashton, along with VisArts Board Chair Jack Devine.  Food for the event was donated by Catering By Seasons, Highpoint Catering, and Dawson’s Market.

We raised nearly $4,500 in ticket sales and contributions for Interfaith Works and Nourish Now to support their work in addressing the issue of hunger in Montgomery County.

Many thanks to all those who made this event a success.
