Part-time, Weekends/Evenings

VisArts is seeking a dependable, energetic individual to join our Events Department as a part-time weekend + evening events staff member whose main role will be to assist our team with event set up and takedowns. This position reports to the Events Manager and Events Director.The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of special events logistics, be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs, and the capacity to work a flexible schedule, which includes late night and weekend shifts.VisArts isa small, nonprofit arts center with contemporary art galleries; a studio artist program; a supported studio program for artists with disabilities; art classes and camps; community outreach programs; and event rental space. What We’re Looking For
•Experience working with customers and a customer-centered attitude
•Ability to read and execute a floor plan
•Experience with using power tools
•Ability to work on a ladder
•Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and bulky objects
•Availability to work weekends, including late nights and/or early mornings
•Strong work ethic
•Ability to work outdoors, including in heat and cold
•Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to and from VisArts
•Positive attitude and team spirit!

License/Background Check

•Criminal background check (if hired)

Requirements
•Open weekend availability for late nights, early mornings, and long hours.
•Peak season availability (April-June and September-November) Schedule
•8 to 10-hour shifts
