Sylvia Witting (1936-2022) was a contemporary artist whose work continues to inspire artists and art lovers alike for its bold and evocative homage to the natural world.  The Sylvia Witting Scholarship Fund celebrates Witting’s artistic legacy and the joy she brought to others, especially the emerging artists she mentored throughout her life. She believed that the arts are transformative for all people, but especially for young people who are learning to see and shape the world.

To apply for a scholarship to VisArts Tween/Teen Camps, please submit the following to the VisArts Camps Department.

• A completed Sylvia Witting Scholarship Fund Application filled out by the parent or legal guardian of the student.
• A two-minute video that we can post on social media that creatively demonstrates why art is important to you.
• A copy of the applicant’s most current or 2022 tax return for proof of income or documentation proving your qualification for free or reduced school lunch.

A limited number of scholarships are available. Scholarships are based on household income. Applicants will be notified within 2-3 weeks from submission. Discounts cannot be applied when you apply for scholarships.
