Frame & Frequency VI is an ongoing International Film & Video Art Screening Series presented by VisArts that highlights artists whose new media, experimental film, and video works explore contemporary visual culture, and presents an intimate panorama of the variety and breadth of video art in artistic practice today.
Frame & Frequency aims to present a diverse group of artists representing multi-generational and cultural backgrounds, nationalities and personal histories, while demonstrating the artists’ impressive command of video and new media technologies.
In response to the state and county’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, Frame & Frequency VI has been rescheduled for September 5-6, 2020.
All selected artists will receive a $50 screening fee as well as being entered into the running for festival awards.
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100
Deadline for submissions: April 5, 2020
Video, film, and new media work will be accepted: experimental, documentary, animation, narrative, non-narrative, multimedia, virtual reality, augmented reality, net art, interactive media, etc.
All foreign language moving image artworks must have English subtitles.
- Video: You may submit up to 3 works. Videos must be in .mp4 file format. Maximum length of 30 minutes. Upload files below through our online platform or provide Vimeo links for video previews.
- $5 application fee
- Selected artists will receive screening fees for participation

In(Site) Project Space at VisArts places contemporary art in non-traditional exhibition spaces to encourage active looking, deep listening, sociability, interaction, and unexpected encounters with art. In(Site) Project Space features artists working in a variety of media.
