Solo Lab 5

Solo Lab 5 returns as an evolving platform for experimentation, research, and risk-taking within the medium of performance art. Curated by Heloisa Escudero, the series invites artists from diverse disciplines to distill their practice into a five-minute live performance piece, concentrating the act of translation, transformation, and immediacy. 

Conceived as both laboratory and stage, Solo Lab 5 offers a site for testing ideas, questioning form, and exploring the limits of time within performance art. For established performance artists, it becomes a space for probing new directions and refining emergent concepts. For artists less familiar with performance work, it’s an invitation to reimagine their medium through presence, action, and an encounter with a live audience. 

At its core, Solo Lab 5 is a celebration of the ephemeral, where audiences witness the fleeting convergence of thought and gesture that defines performance itself.
