VisArts Accessible Arts classes provide instruction to students with disabilities.
The curricula are developed with a wide range of disabilities in mind and instructors provide support as needed with additional assistance and attention to sensory sensitivities.
VisArts’ Accessible Arts instructors know the importance of adaptations, modifications, and accommodations in their classrooms. They participate in professional development and continuing education programs to provide the best quality instruction, lessons, and curriculum for students with disabilities. Recently, they completed VSA Kennedy Center’s Introduction to Arts and Special Education courses and Liz Michaels, LLC’s disability advocacy training.
VisArts is committed to providing programming and opportunities to students with a wide range of disabilities.
VisAbility is VisArts’ supported studio program for neurodiverse adult artists who have a strong interest in a career in the arts.
