Introduction to Kiln-Formed Glass

Instructor:

Nanette Bevan

Discover kiln-formed glass in this four-week intro course designed for beginners. You’ll transform simple designs into striking glass pieces while learning essential techniques like firing, shaping, and finishing.

Along the way, you’ll pick up the basics—design, safety, tools, and cold-working—and build skills you can carry forward.

You’ll finish the class with three original projects: a curved dish, a platter, and a standing wave. You’ll walk away with glasswork you can actually use, display at home, or share as a gift.

This Center for Craft Studies program is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Windgate Foundation.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list needed accommodations.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
