Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Perceptual drawing trains you to truly see—and to translate what you see onto paper through line, value (light and dark), positive and negative shapes, proportion, and gesture.
In this class, we’ll build on the processes and concepts first explored in Introduction to Drawing. You’ll sharpen your ability to see accurately, handle materials with greater subtlety, and work at a range of scales with different subjects.
By the end, you’ll approach your drawings with more precision, confidence, and control.
You’ll also get optional out-of-class exercises to help you strengthen and expand your skills between sessions.
This class is designed for students with previous drawing experience.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
