Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Adventure Awaits: Join us for Gallery Explorers!
On June 8 from 11 AM–1 PM, take your little ones on a creative journey through our contemporary art galleries. It’s more than just a day out—it’s a chance to explore, create, and connect with art in new and exciting ways.
We’ll kick things off with a fun storytime in the Gibbs Street Gallery, followed by hands-on crafts in the Artists’ Concourse. Then, audiences will go on an optional scavenger hunt through the Kaplan, Concourse, and Common Ground Galleries, after the tour and activity!
Along the way, kids will discover art from exhibitions like NextGen 12.0, showcasing fresh works by local emerging artists ages 17-27, and Confrontation. Compromise., featuring stunning ceramics and calligraphy by VisArts Associate Artist and instructor Xiaosheng Bi. It’s a family-friendly adventure, with plenty of chances to spark curiosity and creativity.
Gallery Explorers is perfect for families with kids ages 4-10. A single ticket covers one child and one adult. Need to bring more? Additional tickets are available for extra adults and kids. All participants under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please arrive ten minutes beforehand to ensure a smooth registration process.
