Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Whether you’re brand new to glass or ready to explore your jewelry-making potential, this hands-on workshop is a great place to start. You’ll learn to cut and work with a variety of colorful and specialty glasses to create one-of-a-kind fused glass jewelry—no experience needed.
You’ll get comfortable using tools to cut glass and tackle the unique design challenges that come with working small. We’ll cover the basics and walk through how to get beautiful effects using dichroic glass, reactive glass, frit, and different glass thicknesses and opacities.
We provide everything you need—tools, specialty glass, and access to cutters and grinders. You’ll make up to eight finished pieces, all kiln-fused and finished with silver-plated findings.
You’re welcome to bring your own accessory glass—but it must be COE 90 (Bullseye-compatible).
Finished work will be ready for pickup in 10 business days. Want it shipped? Bring a pre-paid, labeled USPS small flat-rate Priority box, and we’ll send it to you.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list needed accommodations.
