Exploring Abstraction through Mixed Media, Painting, and Drawing

This four-week class will explore abstraction, including its history, meaning, and execution. We’ll examine works by artists of the modern era and use them as inspiration for our own work. Classes will focus on composition, color, and gesture. Students will use use a variety of materials, such as paint, pastels, pencils on paper, and canvas. Materials included.
