Character Art (Ages 8-12)

Got a head full of character ideas? This class helps you bring them to life. 

You’ll explore different drawing styles—from flat cartoons to anime—and learn how to sketch, refine, and add personality to every character you create. We’ll use traditional materials (pencils, pens, and markers) to help you build your character world. 

By the end, you’ll have your own crew of original characters—each with a unique look and vibe. 

Here’s what to expect: 

• Week 1: Meet the class and design your first character 

• Week 2: Try a bold, flat style and create new characters 

• Week 3: Classic cartoons, your way 

• Week 4: Anime style experiments 

• Week 5: Create your own custom character and explore expressions and poses 

Children under 13 must be dropped off and picked up at their classroom by a parent or caregiver.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
