Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Brushstrokes Makerspace is an open painting studio designed for you to experiment, explore, and express yourself freely in a relaxed setting. Whether you want a creative break in the middle of your day, a chance to reconnect with your artistic side, or simply a couple of hours in a welcoming, inspiring space, this workshop is for you.
Each session offers two hours of open studio time with access to acrylic paints, a canvas, and an array of brushes—from traditional to unconventional tools—that invite experimentation. You’re also welcome to bring a painting you’ve already started and use the time to keep working on it. An instructor will be on hand to demonstrate possible techniques, but this isn’t a step-by-step class. It’s your time to create freely and without interruption.
Come solo for some creative “me time” or bring a friend and enjoy a shared creative experience. Whether you’re just getting started or in the middle of something, you’re welcome to paint with us!

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
