Magical Ice Tie-Dyeing

Instructor:

Bob Devers

Turn ice and fabric into something magic. In this two-day workshop, you’ll discover the art of ice tie-dyeing and watch everyday garments transform with unexpected color.

As the ice melts, dye seeps and blends with striking subtlety, flowing across tied folds and patterns to create mesmerizing effects.

Bring clothing, tablecloths, or other garments to reinvent. Along the way, we’ll cover color theory basics, mandala-inspired designs, and tying techniques that deliver specific patterns and results.

This Center for Craft Studies program is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Windgate Foundation.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list needed accommodations.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
