Ceramists have used slips (colored clays of different consistencies) for centuries to decorate their ceramics, and the possibilities are endless when it comes to working with them, whether handbuilding or throwing.

In this intensive, Janet Greer and Ann Hobart will offer instruction in sgraffito, marbling, slip trailing, feathering, and mocha diffusion. The class will look at the work of other potters, then decorate and embellish their own work using similar methods.

Please bring ready-to-decorate greenware for the class.

This class is perfect for students of all skill levels. All materials will be provided. Additional slips will be available to purchase for post-class use.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
