Do you like graphic novels? Do you want to learn more about them? This class is an online book-club style class that will explore the different types of sequential art, illustrated novels, and comic that you can find in today’s world: how they are formatted, how they
communicate their story, and how they are influenced by the author’s history and the current events of the time. Each week, we will use one or two graphic novels to illustrate a key point. Special bonus at the end of our session together for those who are interested in Egyptian art and methodology. You’ll figure out the answer later. No drawing experience is required! Also, all pdfs and/or published legal links of graphic novels will be provided!
Instruction will be provided on Zoom. Students must have a webcam and Zoom downloaded on a computer, phone, or tablet. We will send an email with the Zoom link to login.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
