There’s something about Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite that evokes the magic and excitement of Christmas!
In this fun class, students will create their own wooden nutcracker design after looking at decorative hand-painted wooden nutcrackers, posters for the ballet, and ornaments.
In the first session, the instructor will provide step-by-step instructions for penciling the design and adding a black outline (if desired). Then, students will add vibrant, colorful acrylic paint.
In the second session, students will touch up their designs and give their nutcrackers a coat of modge-podge for a semi-gloss, protective finish.
