Student must have experience in throwing pottery or handbuilding in clay to attend.
Ever wanted to set your pottery on fire and see what happens? Join us as we do just that! The first and second class will be an instructional course on how to prepare your work for bisque, with the third class held outdoors using combustion chambers to set our work alight!
Students are welcome to bring with them scraps of cardboard, fresh and dry pine needles, dry twigs, and sawdust on the Firing day. Students are required to wear close-toed shoes, pants, and long sleeves on the firing day, with long hair pulled back.
All work will sit overnight, and be available to pick up the next day.
This class is held on two consecutive Monday nights with the firing on Saturday, December 2nd from 1-4 pm.Â
