In this six-week class students will come away with several paintings on canvas. We will explore the complexities and properties of slow drying acrylic paint, color theory and paint applications.
Week One: Color theory course, applications and properties of slow drying acrylics introduced. All students will create their own color wheel and be introduced to the technique of neutralizing colors that complement each other.
Week Two: Chose an animal or nature scene to replicate in a painting from a photograph.
Week Three: Continue animal/nature scene.
Week Four: Surrealism Introduced. Combine multiple subjects in a surreal composition.
Week Five: Continue with Surrealism Project or subject/project of choice.
Week Six: Continue with project of choice.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
