Screenprinting onto clay is an incredibly exciting and versatile method that potters can use to tell their stories. Although commercial screens can be purchased, self-created screens offer one-of-a-kind, personal expression.
In this three-hour intensive workshop, the instructors will teach several methods of screen creation and printing, address how to layer prints with a variety of surface decoration techniques, and discuss the procedure for coating screens.
After looking at the work of contemporary artists who use screenprinting, students will burn their own designs onto pre-coated screens.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
