Portrait Painting with Oils

In this five-week oil painting course, students will master fundamental techniques for building an oil painting layer by layer, using the grid method for a faster sketch.

By the end of the course, students will:

• Build a layered oil painting from start to finish, inspired by a personal reference photo.
• Demonstrate new techniques and an understanding of color values.
• Develop a distinctive piece reflecting their personal style.

Some prior oil painting experience is preferred.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
