Intrigued with abstract art and watercolor painting? Join art educator Martina Sestakova for a workshop, during which you will create a series of abstract patterns inspired by the artworks of Dorothy Liebes (textiles) and Alma Thomas (painting). We will play in colors, shapes, and textures and delve into basic watercolor techniques. No experience is needed: just your curious self!
Supplies for this workshop:
- Watercolor paper (5-7 pieces, 4″ x 6″ each)
- Watercolor paper (1 piece, 9″ x 12″)
- 1 cup for water
- 1 watercolor paints (tray or tubes)
- 1 (or a variety) watercolor brush
- 1 pencil
- 1 sheet of copy paper
Instruction will be provided through the Zoom platform. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download zoom on their computer, phone, or tablet.
