As we continue our indigenous peoples’ theme after the Aborigines of Australia and the Intuits of Canada, the Native Americans have a wealth of artistic heritage we can learn from and enjoy. We have received requests for horses to start, then another subject for the second piece. We will use a mixed media technique of watercolor and colored pencils that have a bright pigment. Students by the end of the 3-part series will have two finished pieces suitable for matting or framing.
We encourage independence with our youngest learners; all children’s classes are designed to be drop-off only. Grown-ups are not permitted to stay in the classroom with their children.Â
