Learn basic modeling tools so you can create a unique character and render it in 3D!
In this new class, students will learn how to use models, colors, and textures to create a character with tutorials; draw and design characters; and use Blender for design and character development.
This class is for ages 14+.
Required Materials
● Computer (Mac or Windows)
● Free copy and installation of Blender 3D
● A sketchbook, loose paper, or notebook paper and a pen or pencil
Blender Requirements
● Windows
○ CPU: 4 cores with SSE4.2 support
○ RAM: 8 GB ( no less than 4 GB)
○ GPU: 2 GB VRAM with Open GL 4.3
● Mac
○ CPU: Apple SIlicon or Intel
○ RAM: 8 GB ( no less than 4 GB)
○ GPU: Metal 2.2
Instruction will be on Zoom. Students must have a webcam and Zoom downloaded on a computer, phone, or tablet. We will send an email with the Zoom link.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
