Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew – by hand and on a sewing machine – so you can make, fix, or decorate clothes, totes, and more?

Now’s your chance! In this class for beginners, you’ll learn fundamental sewing skills – including hand stitching so you can connect or decorate fabric pieces, using a sewing machine, and controlling fabric in the machine so you can sew straight and curved lines. Along the way, you’ll create simple projects, like patches, tote bags, and pencil cases.

Two sewing machines are available for in-class use; if you have your own sewing machine, please bring it to class.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list any accommodations you will need during the class.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
