In Introduction to Illustration students will learn some of the elements of art and learn how to apply them in ways in which they may be used intentionally to create illustrations that reflect themselves and their ideas as well as students’ unique artistic vision. In class, we will learn about elements such as line, color, texture, and shape and specifically how those elements influence the mood or theme in a piece of art. We will investigate visual means of self-expression, comic art, portrait art, abstract illustration, and explore a variety of styles to discover different ways we can create art. This would be a great class for beginners or people interested in discovering a new art style or to hone their present art skills and learn some valuable technical skills as well.
This class is specially priced as part of our Emerging Teacher Mentorship Program.
