Sanctuary Studio Fellow, Sughra Hussainy, will be teaching a series of three workshops focusing on Afghan Illumination Manuscript painting. During this workshop Sughra will guide students through the process of creating geometric and natural/floral designs. Students will then learn ways to add to these designs using Illumination techniques to create stunning ornamentation for calligraphy, manuscripts, and more. This course is recommended for adults and teens who have an intermediate amount of painting experience. This workshop will be held over three consecutive Sundays, January 17th, 24th and 31st 2021 from 3:00PM-6:00PM.
