This class provides beginning to intermediate students with a solid foundation in drawing. Working in pencil and charcoal, students will practice the fundamental steps of creating a work of art. Students will learn to develop their powers of observation, increasing their ability to see as artists. Technical aspects of drawing such as line, volume, and perspective will be introduced through class instruction and demonstrations. The class works with a variety of still life subjects. Students often follow this course with Fundamentals of Painting to expand their artistic experience.
