Gibbs Street Gallery

Arc is an installation by artist Fletcher Mackey specifically constructed for VisArts in Rockville, MD. The work exists in the space as a chorus or response to communities that have rapidly changing demographics such as the city of Rockville. The gallery space is transformed with images and forms that could be read as a symbolic story arc of how we continue to grow and expand into a cultural bowl of “gumbo” full of mixed spices and curious about who we are, where we come from and what our future societies may look like.

Opening Reception: Friday, April 19, 7– 9 p.m.
Artist Talk: Sunday, April 28, 2:00 p.m.
