In this class, we would like to encourage students to create drawings of family or friends who have never met. Family members may be generations apart, a loved one may be deceased or perhaps circumstances in their lives have made it really difficult to meet. Through drawing and imagination, we will unite everyone overcoming the obstacles of time and distance, bringing together people that could never be together.
Students will select multiple pictures of family or friends and utilize figure drawing and portraiture to render everyone in one composition.
Students can choose to create a traditional portrait with all figures proportional to one another or they can use their imagination to set up an abstract composition with figures of varying sizes juxtaposed against detailed facial features and clothes. Students will also have the choice to
work in value alone or with color.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend this class.
