Back by popular demand! We are offering this class again (returning students are welcome) with the new goal of creating a poster-size montage of four different castles (references from France, Italy, Germany, and Scotland).
The four drawings will be completed over five class sessions, as they will be rather detailed. The drawings may be taken to a printer to make copies for gifts or can be framed for your home.
Suggested materials:
- Strathmore drawing paper
- Drawing pencils 3B or 2B.
- Plastic erasers
- Three “Micron” brand ink pens,, nib sizes 03, 05 and 08 (or 010).
- Pad of inexpensive tracing paper.
- Transfer paper (optional).
- Pencil sharpenerÂ
The class format for each class will be: viewing a demo of inking techniques – different ways fo making marks; setting up the page by finding the chosen midpoint, dividing the page space into four equal parts and making a light outline of the main shapes of the building and surrounding foliage, rocks, trees, etc. Starting from the midpoint the goal is to show several different ink strokes and solid black areas. It is more of a process, rather than a focus on a finished product.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
Instruction will be provided on Zoom. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download Zoom on their computer, phone, or tablet. We will send you the Zoom login link vie email.
