Over the course of three class sessions, students will have two finished pieces suitable for framing. Our art materials will include colored pencils, ink, opaque watercolor, and oil pastel on toned paper. The samples shown here are for inspiration but students are encouraged to have their own imaginations and visions create more than what is here, to something truly their own. This can include varying the color, varying the sizes and forms, or adding design elements. “Folk Art” in the artist Mirtalipova’s case, is the decorative style with leaves and flowers, that has evolved over the centuries in Russia and Eastern Europe.
We encourage independence with our youngest learners; all children’s classes are designed to be drop-off only. Grown-ups are not permitted to stay in the classroom with their children.Â
Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list any accommodations you will need during the class.
