This hands-on class explores how the principles of composition and elements of art work together. Students will delve into this concept through mark-making and the art of collage. Lessons will include projects exploring repetition, rhythm, patterns, variety, balance, proportion, and movement.

This class is specially priced as part of VisArts’ Emerging Teacher Mentorship Program (ETMP), a supported program for artists who are training to become teachers. This course and curriculum were developed with guidance from VisArts’ Education staff.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
