Join us for a conversation with VisArts’ 2023 Bresler Resident + Curator Murat Cem Mengüç on the topic of carbon footprint in artistic practice.

Murat Cem Mengüç’s Gestures of Disappearance is an ongoing project that organizes workshops for artists and non-artists interested in calculating the environmental impact of artists and their works. The inaugural workshop convened a curator and seven artists in 2023.

In this panel discussion, Mengüç and the workshop participants will discuss how they calculated the carbon footprint of their art-making.
