Accessible Arts: Working on the Wheel

Instructor:

Kim Swanner

VisArts’ Accessible Arts classes offer instruction tailored for students with disabilities. The curriculum is designed to accommodate a wide range of accessibility requirements, and instructors provide support as needed, paying special attention to sensory sensitivities. Each student must bring a support staff member/aide, who can attend free of charge.

Students will be introduced to the pottery wheel, learning to create shapes and both functional and non-functional art pieces. The course fee includes clay, firing, and glazing.

Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list any accommodations needed during the class.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
