Looking for a fun, creative way to celebrate—or just bring people together? From birthdays to team-building, we make artful gatherings easy.

Our private art events are open to ages 14 and up and all experience levels. Each one includes custom designs, top-quality materials, and step-by-step guidance from professional teaching artists. You bring the people—we’ll handle the rest.

Project prices are listed below. All adult parties take place in our bright, art-filled studios on Floor 3 and in Studio 156.

CANVAS PAINTING

You pick the image*. We sketch it lightly onto 16” x 20” canvases for your guests, and one of our instructors walks everyone through the painting—step by step.

It’s easy to follow, low-pressure, and a genuinely fun way to spend time together—no experience needed.

The base price includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant, plus all the materials for the project.

PRICING

  • $450 for up to 12 participants (12-person minimum; $37.50 per person)
  • $25 for each additional participant

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Need more time to eat, chat, or keep the fun going? Add an extra hour for $150.

COLLABORATIVE PAINTING

It’s teamwork, but with more color and less email. Guests work together to create one large mural by rotating between canvases—making group decisions about color, layout, and design as they go. Like any good project, it takes communication, flexibility, and a bit of back-and-forth to bring it all together.

The base package includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant, all the materials for the project, plus final assembly and wiring of the mural.

  • $450 for base package (includes nine 16″ x 20″ canvases)
  • $25 for each additional canvas

Optional Add-Ons

  • Need more time to eat, chat, or keep the momentum going? Add an extra hour for $150.
  • Custom images and alternate canvas sizes available upon request (included in price).

MUSICAL EASELS

It’s teamwork, but with more color and less email. Guests work together to create one large mural by rotating between canvases—making group decisions about color, layout, and design as they go. Like any good project, it takes communication, flexibility, and a bit of back-and-forth to bring it all together.

It’s teamwork—with a twist! Each guest starts with a partially sketched canvas, then swaps with someone else every 15–20 minutes. Like any group project, it takes flexibility, a little trust, and a good sense of humor to build on what others started.

This one’s perfect for hesitant painters—no pressure to “get it right,” and no single person is responsible for the final result. It’s all about the process (and the laughs along the way).

The base package includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant, plus all the materials needed for the project.

CERAMICS PROJECTS

HANDBUILDING

Roll up your sleeves—it’s time to play with clay.

In this project, guests use simple ceramic techniques like slip and score, cutting, and joining to create a custom tray or vessel.

We’ll bring out the stamps, sprigs, and texture tools so each piece feels personal. Colored slips are provided for decorating, and VisArts staff will handle the glazing and firing.

Finished work will be ready for pickup about 10 business days after the event.

TRY THE WHEEL

TRY THE WHEEL

Getting messy has never been this satisfying.

In this workshop, each guest gets 1.5 pounds of clay and the tools to create their own wheel-thrown piece. Our instructor will demo the process and guide everyone through it—wobbles, laughs, and all.

Participants pick a glaze, and VisArts staff will finish the pieces after bisque-firing. Work will be ready for pickup about 10 business days later.

Private Try the Wheel events are available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting at 4 PM.

POTTERY PAINTING

Hand-painted ceramic pottery created in a VisArts class.

POTTERY PAINTING

Choose your own design and paint a ceramic cup that’s ready to become your next favorite mug.

Each guest gets a pre-made, bisque-fired cup to personalize with sketching tools, stencils, and plenty of creative freedom.

Once you’re done painting, we’ll handle the kiln firing. Your finished piece will be ready to pick up in about two weeks—food safe, dishwasher safe, and guaranteed to make your morning coffee more satisfying.

FUSED GLASS COASTERS

FUSED GLASS COASTERS

This one’s part art, part science, and a whole lot of fun.

Each guest creates two fused glass coasters using pre-cut pieces, bold colors, and a mix of texture tools. You’ll learn how to layer and arrange glass, then leave the firing to us.

Finished coasters will be ready for pickup about 10 business days after the event. They’re sturdy, stylish, and make great gifts—if you don’t end up keeping them both.

FUSED GLASS EVERLASTING PLANT

FUSED GLASS EVERLASTING PLANT

No watering. No wilting. No problem.

These fused glass plant stakes look great in a pot, on a windowsill, or anywhere you want a splash of color—no care required. Neglect them for weeks, and they’ll still look fantastic. All they’ll ever need is the occasional dusting.

Each guest creates one using pre-cut glass pieces, simple tools, and a design all their own. We provide the three-inch terracotta pot and pea gravel to display it. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup about 10 business days after the event.

FUSED GLASS PLATE

FUSED GLASS PLATE

This is one of our most popular group activities! Participants learn how to cut glass, consider how different glass pieces interact, and see how the process works while creating a 6” x 6” square or 8” x 4” rectangular fused glass plate. The base price includes a two-hour party led by an experienced instructor and classroom assistant plus all the art materials necessary for the project. Finished artwork may be picked up 10 business days after the event.

  • Optional $150 per hour additional room rental time over two hours
