VisArts CREATE Summer Art Camp 2025

Please indicate which sessions you would like to volunteer. Select all that apply, volunteers may volunteer for as many sessions as they would like, provided there is availability. Volunteer hours are from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 1 hour break included.

First time volunteers/applicants, please answer the following questions. There will also be verbal questions asked during every interview.
Responsibilities(Required)

As a volunteer for VisArts Art Camp, you would be responsible for:

  • ~Arriving on time and prepared for work,
  • ~Completing tasks on time,
  • ~Being attentive and proactive in classrooms and with respective tasks,
  • ~Committing to the entire duration of your assigned session(s) selected/assigned to you,
  • ~Notifying VisArts via phone (301) 315 – 8200 ext. 122 and email Grace Sponaugle (gsponaugle@visartscenter.org) and Jamie Banaticla (jbanaticla@visartscenter.org) immediately, if you are sick and/or unable to volunteer.
  • ~Turning off and storing cell phone during camp day,
  • ~Refraining from having friends or family visit the camp facility during the camp day,
  • ~Providing your own lunch, snacks, and drinks,
  • ~And more...

I understand that the VisArts Summer Art Camp is a drug-free, smoke-free, and alcohol-free environment and I agree to abide by the above rules and regulations.

I, the camp volunteer, do hereby affirm and acknowledge that I have been fully informed of the responsibilities of my camp position, as well as tasks that I am not responsible for. More responsibilities will be covered in volunteer orientations and walk-throughs. I understand that this is an unpaid volunteer position and that I will receive compensation for my volunteer hours in the form of Student Service Learning hours in accordance with the county's policies. I understand that the awarding of my hours is based on my following of the rules, regulations, and policies established by VisArts, and that if I do not comply, or fail to fulfull my responsibilities, VisArts may deduct hours or terminate my volunteer position.

Disciplinary Procedures(Required)
I, the camp volunteer, understand that if I do not follow the rules and regulations set by VisArts, a warning will be issued. 15 minutes of volunteer hours will be deducted for each warning given. I understand that if I receive more than 4 warnings, VisArts may terminate my volunteer position.
