Were you transformed by art? How? When? Where? Tell us your story.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECORDING STORY ON YOUR PHONE, COMPUTER, OR OTHER VOICE RECORDER, AND HOW TO SEND US YOUR SUBMISSION:

  • Prepare your story ahead of time (It must last 3 minutes or less)

  • Open your device’s audio recording tool.

  • Press record (hold your device about 7 inches from your face for good sound)

  • State your first name and where you are from.

  • Tell or read your story. Speak clearly and naturally.

  • Press the recording button to stop.

  • Save your audio recording with the following file name:  Your name_transformation.

  • Send your audio file, with the subject “Transformational art Experience”, to Frank McCauley at fmccauley@visartscenter.org.

*Your Transformational Art Experience can be on any art form (drawing, painting, music, dance, poetry, etc).
*Remember, all stories must be under three minutes.
*Stories that we include can be heard on the Deep Flash: Art and Transformation exhibition webpage and on an IPad in one of the galleries at VisArts.
*Stories will be uploaded to our website for anyone to listen.
