VisArts offers private group art experiences for preschool-age children. The workshops are designed to spark creativity and nurture imagination in the youngest artists!
Art experiences are held in our light-filled studios at 155 Gibbs Street, 156 Gibbs Street, and 100E Gibbs Street. They feature brightly colored art and have multiple tables for art-making fun.
Children will be introduced to renowned artists and a variety of art styles as they create individual artworks in ceramics, collage, painting, and more. We offer a range of themes and projects inspired by Eric Carle, Wassily Kandinsky, Alexander Calder, Ai Weiwei, Alma Thomas, Yayoi Kusama, Jean Michel Basquiat, Kehinde Wiley, Faith Ringgold, and Jackson Pollock.

ONSITE:
Celebrate your child’s birthday at VisArts in our beautiful pop-up art studio! Located at 36 Maryland Ave. Unit F, the pop-up studio has brightly colored art, large windows, and multiple tables for the art and eating activities, making it the perfect location for your child’s painting party.
The base price includes a two-hour party led by our experienced instructor and classroom assistant and all the art materials necessary for the painting creations. Your child can select the image they want to paint from our gallery, choose their own image, or opt for our “free-paint” experience.
Additional tables will be available for cake eating and small party decorations if desired. All food materials needed (plates, napkins, cups, utensils, etc.) must be brought by the party family. No refrigeration is available.
VIRTUAL:
We’ll do all the work – all you need to do is send the virtual invitation that we provide for you with a Zoom link and you’re on your way to hosting a great party for your child’s friends. We will provide paint, canvas, brushes, and a palette for each of your guests and at the appointed hour- a terrific instructor and virtual classroom assistant will lead your guests through a creative and laughter-filled experience!
Your child can select the image they want to paint from our gallery, choose their own image, or opt for our “free-paint” experience.
Once you register and pay for your party you will be able to select a time to pick up all the materials for your guests so that you can get them distributed in time for the big day. We’ll meet you curbside and all you’ll need to do is pop your trunk so we can put the materials in your car!

The base price includes a two-hour party led by our experienced instructor and classroom assistant and all the art materials necessary for hand-built ceramic creations. Your child can select the theme of their ceramic pieces during the party where they will build and glaze their art! The finished pieces can be picked up two weeks after the party by the birthday child’s parent in VisArts’ main building.
