This two-week ceramics boot camp for beginners is the perfect way to jump start your pottery journey!
Students will learn effective, ergonomic, and efficient clay management on the wheel, along with the nitty gritty details of wedging, centering, throwing, and trimming basic cylinders and bowls.
The class will emphasize skill building and repetition. Students will start many pots, but will be encouraged to keep only the ones that show skill development and growth. Ideally, by the end of the class, students will have created a matching set of functional pottery (bowls, vases, mugs, or cups).
This class is for ages 14+.
Clay isn’t included with registration, but may be bought online or in the administrative office during business hours.Â
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
