Join VisAbility Art Lab for an open studio on Friday, June 2 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Meet the artists, learn about their work, and buy original artwork.

VisAbility Art Lab is a studio program that provides adult emerging artists with disabilities a place and the resources to create art and develop the skills necessary to work in the arts.

The Lab was created in 2015 for neurodiverse artists to make art, gain experience in applying and preparing for exhibitions, and learn how to advocate for themselves as artists. The program provides professional development workshops and career mentorship by artists, curators, instructors, students, and staff in our community.

Today, the Lab has more than 30 participants who work independently alongside other artists with similar interests and common goals in a light-filled, street-level studio in VisArts’ Pop-Up at 36F Maryland Avenue.
