Learning to draw a human face is a skill that many children aspire to master. In this class students will learn the mechanics of how to make the face symmetrical with practice in proportion. First in pencil sketches, then as a project that will include four faces: two with oil pastels, and two with colored pencils.
Students are encouraged to bring any close up photos they may have of friends and family members. There will also be mirrors available to study their own faces. However this is not about making a “self-portrait”; it’s all about the process and not the final product.
