In this three-class series, young artists will be able to freely explore the winter palette of colors (blues, white, grays, lavender, dark green, and brown tones) to depict not just the hills and forests of the countryside but at least one town scene (as shown) and some of the animals and birds that still can be seen (rabbits, foxes, owls, etc.). In each class they’ll be shown samples but will be encouraged to use their imagination to add or subtract elements, not to copy exactly but to tell stories through their artwork; children this age love to do this. We will work with watercolors, watercolor pencils, and one class with acrylics.
We encourage independence with our youngest learners; all children’s classes are designed to be drop-off only. Grown-ups are not permitted to stay in the classroom with their children.Â
Please use the Notes section during registration to list any accommodations your child may need during the class.
