Jonna McKone is a Baltimore-based artist, producer and educator working in photo, video and time-based media. In making her work, she frequently develops long-term collaborations with communities. Her work has appeared in or involved collaborations with museums, libraries, galleries and other artists, including the Walters Art Museum, Black Rock Center for the Arts, Power Plant Gallery, and the Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas. She was recently awarded a Lewis Hine Fellowship from Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University from which she developed a participatory project and forthcoming photobook using photography, portraiture, writing and archives to explore the complexity of family with youth who have experience in the foster care system. Alongside her practice, she is an adjunct professor; and she produces and edits documentary films and public radio programs.  Jonna holds an M.F.A. in experimental and documentary arts from Duke University.
