The Cherokee Double Wall Basket is known for its strength and durability due to the two layers of weaving. Traditionally these baskets have been woven with honey suckle or other natural fibers native to Oklahoma or the Midwest U.S. We will be weaving with a round reed natural fiber that is frequently used by Cherokee weavers today. This class is a great follow up to our Basics of Basket Weaving. Your ticket price includes one free glass of wine; additional wine or beer may be purchased. This is a great class for a fun and low-pressure outing. Please bring ID if you want to consume alcohol.
